GRiNdaL

GRiNdaL is one of the most well-known and friendly Goblins from Norfwood Cave, where he lives with all his friends near the bank of a stream called the Swinko, in the Creepy Crawly Woods.

As with all Goblins, he is mischievous, but he always has a knack for finding his way out of any trouble, usually with the help of his friends.

GRiNdaL probably knows more people in Owtdare than Horrik the Big Bossy Orc (who knows a lot!) but his best friend is Gobba. GRiNdaL looks after Gobba like an older brother and they often spend their time going on adventures.

Local knowledge

GRiNdaL is a Goblin who enjoys adventuring and is always exploring Owtdare to find new and exciting places to visit.

His favourite place is Lostpath in the The Hard Lands just outside the north-eastern edge of the woods, where the dunes constantly change with the seasons. The landscape alters each time he visits and because the old paths are gone and the familiar landmarks seem to move, each visit is like exploring a whole new place.

His knowledge of the land doesn’t stop him from trespassing in places where he is not really supposed to be, but he rarely gets caught. Everyone knows that the tastiest Mushrooms grow in the Sprite-Wood - but only the foolhardy (or the very stealthy) will dare to try and ‘scrump’ them from Malum's prized patch.

GRiNdaL is a skilled tracker (but not as good as Juran and The Pack) and can usually find anyone or anything he is looking for.

Horrik often sends GRiNdaL on errands to Big City and he has got to know his way around the streets, the docks and all of its denizens very well. Like most goblins, GRiNdaL finds humans quite funny and often takes great pleasure in teasing them for thinking themselves so important.

One of the most important things about GRiNdaL is his thinking.

Some will call it cunning, but it’s the sort of cunning that will get you out of trouble without causing harm to others, it’s the sort of cunning that helps all your friends and teaches others a valuable lesson, it’s the sort of cunning that knows an excellent plan when it’s presented and, most of all, it’s the sort of cunning that looks after GRiNdaL and all his friends!
