Scribed [Cost: 1] - When scribed, this rune protects an object, surface, or creature from projectile attacks, deflecting non-magical ranged weapon attacks harmlessly. Magical projectiles and siege weapons instead deal half damage. If scribed on an object or surface, the rune can affect a number of cubic feet of material equal to your Rune Potency. The rune lasts for 1 minute before fading.

Synthesis [Cost: 1] - Combining this rune with a rune that is scribed upon an object or surface bolsters the material, shielding it from damage. For the duration of the scribed rune, the object or surface resists an amount of damage equal to twice your Rune Potency, negating that damage from each attack. This rune cannot be synthesized with a rune that is scribed on a creature.
