The Traveler's Guide to Aellorah
0-level (Cantrip) Abjuration
Invoked - When invoked, the boundaries drawn by your scribed runes are activated or deactivated. Invoking this rune only requires a bonus action.
Scribed [Cost: 2] - When scribed, this rune creates an invisible boundary of magical force that can prevent passage by creatures. By default, the boundary blocks passage by all creatures, but you may use your Runic Procedures feature to designate which creatures may pass using the 'ALLOW' or 'DENY' keywords. This rune can be scribed multiple times, with the boundary's domain changing with each new rune that is drawn. For a boundary to form a complete shape instead of a line, you must scribe the first rune in the path a second time to complete the shape. The boundary is 10 ft. tall and its path defines the outer edge of the shape that is warded. Each time the rune is drawn after the first, the cost to scribe it is paid. The runes may only be drawn up to 10 ft. apart. The boundary lasts a number of minutes equal to your Rune Potency after the second rune is drawn. The boundary does nothing until a second rune is drawn. The boundary is active by default. Scribing this rune does not prevent invoking it.
Synthesis [Cost: 2] - Combining this rune with a scribed or invoked rune allows the scribed or invoked rune to use the boundary you have drawn by scribing this rune as a path for the effects of the scribed or invoked rune. Combining this with the scribed form of Run'karo (Fire), for example, will allow you to ignite the path you have drawn with this rune. If the boundary you have drawn forms a shape rather than a line, the scribed or invoked rune applies to the entire area within the drawn boundary.
