Giant

Most people who have actually met a giant will soon realise that they are very kind...

Giants are, without doubt, the largest creatures that live in the Hard Lands. In fact, they are one of the biggest creatures in Owtdare (apart from the Dragons).

Most people who have seen them or heard about them will tell you they are slow, dumb and probably clumsy. However, most people who have actually met a giant will soon realise that they are very kind and friendly creatures.

They appear slow because, being absolutely huge, they will always move slowly and carefully so as not to break or upset any of their friends.

Big Dave is good friends with the Goblins of Norfwood and visits them often.

When he is not visiting the Goblins (usually looking for his helmet), he can sometimes be found in the beer garden of the Pit 'N' Swet Tavern listening to another one of Og's stories.

(It's not really a beer garden, but Big Dave is too big to sit inside the tavern, so when he visits, the Orcs and Ogres usually go outside to keep him company.) Dave is very friendly and helpful and a good example of what Giants are really like.
